About Ari Shomair

Ari began his online marketing career in 1996, performing web design and search engine optimization for SMBs. Ari ultimately worked his way up to Director of Marketing Optimization at henderson bas, Canada's most awarded interactive advertising agency. At hb, Ari was responsible for ensuring search engine friendliness, accurate tracking implementations, and performance optimization on websites for many of the world's largest brands, such as Coke, Mercedes-Benz, Nintendo, Nestle, and Capital One. Ari has sat on numerous industry counsels, such as the Interactive Advertising Bureau's search marketing council and the ComScore agency council, as well as spoken at numerous industry events, such as the Canadian Marketing Association's digital marketing conference and the Search Engine Strategies conference. Ari has also published business cases on online marketing available at the Harvard Business Review.

Currently, Ari is launching a new technology startup, as well as lecturing on the topic of Internet marketing at the Richard Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario.
